BELIEVER IN TERROIR, SECOND CHANCES, SANTA CLAUS, AND THE MAGIC OF A WELL-POURED STORY.

I’ve spent my life in wine — not just selling it, not even just drinking it, but experiencing it. From the restaurant floor to vineyard rows, airport lounges to late-night dinners, I’ve built a career around connection, curiosity, and the belief that a glass of wine can be a portal —to place, to memory, to meaning.

I didn’t grow up in a vineyard. I grew up in Kentucky, in a house where my mama—the original “Teflon Mom”— taught me to be kind, to say what I mean, and to always bring something to the table (preferably with lots of butter).

Now I live in Sonoma County with my teenage daughter, Willow—my favorite duet partner, truth-teller, and co-pilot in all things magic. We dance in the kitchen, we believe in possibility, and we know that a vineyard can be both a business and holy ground.

I’ve spent more than two decades in the wine industry—as a buyer, a sommelier, a global wine director, and a shameless terroir nerd. I’ve walked vineyards in Burgundy, Sicily, and along the Sonoma coast. I’ve built programs for collectors and airlines, and taught classes where people finally stopped being afraid of a wine list.

Wine Flight Society is the most personal thing I’ve ever done.

It’s a gathering place for kindred spirits.
A space where scent memories matter, where storytelling pairs with Sauvignon Blanc, and where wine becomes a way to see each other more clearly.

The Layover is where we slow down—between tastings, between bottles, between the big moments. It’s where we talk about the people, the places, and the little things that make wine worth loving.
